Donetsk, Sep 2 – DAN. A combine harvester driver was injured as the vehicle triggered a landmine Chermalyk (Ukraine-controlled) outside Volnovakha, the DPR People’s Militia said.
“Our observers spotted a combine explode outside Chermalyk. According to updated reports, the driver sustained non-life-threatening wounds”.
The Ukraine was notified via the JCCC communication mechanism.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”. The package came into effect on July 27.
The indiscriminate mining problem was raised by the DPR at the Minsk talks multiple times, but to no avail. During the latest meeting the sides discussed the issue once again. The sides now have to harmonize the coordinates of an area to be demined, proposed by the LPR. *ot
